The working principle of the confluence box
2025-02-11
A junction box is a device between the primary and secondary windings of a transformer. It proportionally distributes the primary voltage to each winding. Its working principle is as follows:
1. Connect the primary windings in a star configuration. When the power is turned on, eddy currents are generated in the iron core due to magnetic force, producing an induced electromotive force. This induced electromotive force is consumed on the secondary side through the resistance and leakage inductance of the iron core and windings. To improve the power factor, a larger primary current is usually required.
2. According to the principle of electromagnetic induction:
When alternating current is passed through the transformer, a magnetic field is generated and cuts the magnetic lines of force, thus generating alternating electric and magnetic fields in the windings;
3. By changing the distance between the primary and secondary windings, the magnitude of the change in the strength of these two fields can be controlled;
4. By utilizing the mutual conversion relationship between the above two fields, the voltage amplitude can be controlled and adjusted,
5. If an autotransformer is used for voltage boosting and capacity adjustment, high-voltage output of different frequencies can be obtained,
6. For systems with multiple generators operating in parallel, the series connection method can be used to achieve parallel operation of multiple machines
7. It can also be used to measure the operating parameters of various electrical equipment.
